It is a lovely one-bedroom/one bath located on the top floor of a restored slave quarters, behind a historic creole mansion that dates back to 1860's. It has a beautiful living room with exposed brick walls, high ceilings, hardwood floors and ornate detailing. The four sets of french doors open out to the balcony overlooking the front garden courtyard; a fully stocked kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances; bathroom with shower/Jacuzzi tub, and a separate bedroom with a Queen size bed and great light.
There is free parking on street or a valet garage two blocks down at the hotel that's about $18-$25 per night. It is quiet and private, with shutters to keep out the daylight after roaming all night. The 'hood is safe, but be smart and don't wander alone in unfamiliar places.
The condo has an authentic landscaped French Quarter courtyard, where you can relax and enjoy the sounds of the fountain. In the distance, you will hear the ringing of the bells from St. Louis Cathedral, the whistles (calliope) from the Steamboat Natchez on the Mississippi River, and the horse and buggies strolling by.
NO Smoking inside the condo, but you are welcome to smoke in the front courtyard all you want as long as you don't throw butts everywhere. There are ashtrays. No pets allowed and no children under the age 10. Must be age 25+ to rent with a valid credit card and photo ID. Max. people allowed is 4.
